Hi, It’s Me. I’m Back.

Greetings to all out there.

I’ve been unavoidably absent for a spell.  One of the reasons being that my previous laptop was irreparably damaged in a freak accident:  in a blink of an eye I knocked over a glass of water which was sitting on the table about a foot or so away from the opened and running computer.  I.e., one second I was browsing through my music library, looking for something to listen to; the next, I watched in horror as my glass of water, after inadvertently getting bumped, tumbled over and in that slow-motion type of vision which occurs in the brief second or so just after creating an action which causes an inevitable reaction per certain laws of physics, cringed as I saw that brief second stretch out as the cup tipped over, ice flew about, and water spilled in every direction it could, resulting it a good deal of it landing on my exposed PC’s keyboard.

I tried; I tried.  As soon as it happened I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a couple of dish towels, ran back and did my best to sop it up off the keyboard.  But, too late.  The damage was done.

So, there I was:  incommunicado for about 2 months or so.  But recently I picked up a new Lenovo as well as a 4 TB external hard drive so I won’t have to go through the long hassle of transferring the music library from the old computer to the new one.

With a few brand new albums in hand to review and a ship-shape system with which to write reviews, things should be back to normal quite soon.

For now, enjoy the reviews below:  they’re all relatively new (within the last year or so).  I came across them as I was looking through some of my documents on which I write my reviews & save them, a few reviews which I didn’t recognize as having posted.  Just to make sure, though, I did search through Independent Review to see if, maybe, one or more of them had been posted but no sign of them.  Hope they help in shaping opinions or at least giving some details of the individual albums they cover.

OK, so, sit back, relax and enjoy the new season (Thursday, September 21,at some point, was the Autumnal Equinox, which made Friday, September 22, the first full day of autumn).
